Job summary

Red Pico is seeking a Lead SAS Developer for a contract with BMO US Analytics to lead the SAS-to-Python migration. You will stay hands-on in code and drive design-to-delivery across the project, working remotely from Canada.

The role requires senior/lead level expertise with SAS, Python, SQL, and modern analytics tooling. You will manage end-to-end migration, code quality, and collaboration within a Linux/Unix environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of a migration or related delivery.
• Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and JupyterHub.
• Strong debugging and unit testing skills.
• Migrate analytics workloads from SAS to Python; hands-on coding expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the SAS to Python migration, from design to delivery.
• Set coding standards and run code reviews.
• Own the work end to end.
• Migrate SAS code and workloads to Python, write and debug SQL and Python, and write unit tests.
• Schedule and run jobs on Linux/Unix with CRON.
• Work in Git/GitHub, SAS Enterprise Guide and JupyterHub.
