Job summary

ISG is seeking a Lead Research Analyst, Data and Analytics to own and shape the data & analytics research agenda, work across AI, data platforms, governance, DataOps, streaming, and analytics, and contribute to client engagements and market-facing content.

The role reports to the Executive Director, Software Research, and collaborates with ISG Research teams to drive impactful insights and advisory services for enterprise buyers and software providers.

Qualifications

• Experience as an industry analyst, data and analytics practitioner, consultant, or product management leader.
• Deep knowledge of data and analytics markets, architectures, operating models and buyer requirements.
• Ability to form and communicate a well-developed independent point of view.
• Experience advising executives on data and analytics strategy, governance and vendor evaluation.
• Strong written, presentation, communication and collaboration skills with industry leaders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the research agenda for data and analytics markets, technology providers and buyer priorities.
• Develop primary research, analyst perspectives, market perspectives, benchmark research and value index content.
• Provide thought leadership on data and AI platforms, data management, governance, DataOps, streaming and analytics.
• Guide enterprise buyers in understanding data and analytics markets and selecting vendors, platforms and services.
