JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Lead Product Manager, Payment, Products and Processing

As a Lead Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to influence the company's future and enhance customer experience by innovating products for Green Dot’s millions of active cardholders. You will oversee vendor integrations with major network associations and processors, translating ideas into seamless customer experiences across all Green Dot brands. A background in payment processing, attention to detail, user-centric thinking, interpersonal skills, and comfort with technical challenges are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert in Debit and Prepaid payments processing, including Payment Processing, Visa/MC Network Rules, and Card Management.
• Own multiple feature areas, document, and communicate Payment Product Processing decisions to team and executives.
• Lead core platform initiatives, coordinating across development teams.
• Define product requirements, collaborate with design, engineering, risk, and legal teams to create solutions, and resolve problems collaboratively.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in the financial industry, preferably with experience in consumer credit, debit, or payments processing (Visa, MC, AmEx, Discover).
• 5+ years of product management experience with technical products.
• 3+ years of SDLC and agile methodology experience; at least 1 year in a technical role (developer, engineer, QA, etc.). Industry certifications (CSPO, CSM, PMP) preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, financial, or technical field preferred.
• Practical knowledge of bank products/services, payments, transaction processing, disputes, fraud control, banking regulations (GDPR, PCI, Reg-Z/Reg-E).
• Understanding of service-oriented back-end systems, SQL, data analysis, and information security concepts is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills; proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Position Type: Regular

Pay Range: $120,700 to $180,900 annually, based on qualifications, expertise, and location.
