Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Information Security Architect to spearhead security architecture initiatives. This fully remote role enables contributions from anywhere in South Africa.

You will design, build, and maintain a secure, scalable, and resilient security architecture aligned with our strategic objectives and industry best practices. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
• Proven track record designing and implementing complex security solutions across diverse stacks.
• Deep understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), network and application security.

Responsibilities

• Design and document enterprise security architecture aligned with business goals and best practices.
• Develop and maintain security reference architectures for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies to enhance posture.
• Provide technical leadership to security engineers and IT teams on best practices.
• Define security requirements for new projects and embed security from design.
• Lead development and implementation of security standards and guidelines.
