Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Lead Environmental Scientist to join our team remotely. You will manage complex field biology assessments, coordinate with clients, and lead project scopes, budgets and schedules to deliver compliant environmental solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in environmental science or related field, are a Registered Professional, have 8+ years of experience, and are proficient in GIS, AutoCAD, and MS Office, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, or related field required at the time of employment.
• Registered Professional in field of expertise.
• Eight or more (8+) years of relevant industry-related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and conduct complex field biology assessments including wetland delineations, wildlife identification, endangered species/habitat/biological assessments and surveys.
• Meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals and establish budgets and schedules.
• Direct and prepare scopes of work, study designs, reports, and environmental permit packages.
• Maintain close liaison with clients to resolve all project questions.
• Support business development and proposal preparation.
• Work directly with clients to achieve site planning and permitting needs.
