Job summary

The role is remote-friendly with on-site options in South San Francisco or San Diego, offering collaboration with bioinformatics, statistics, and medical experts, and opportunities to publish analyses while mentoring junior scientists.

Qualifications

• PhD required or equivalent with strong research track record.
• Expert in Python for AI/ML in CV/DPAI contexts.
• Strong communication of complex findings to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop DPAI models using WSI or related data to predict outcomes and morphological features.
• Lead data annotation and data sourcing efforts for ML development.
• Break down complex ML problems into actionable subprojects and coordinate junior team members.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to align clinical and business requirements.
• Document projects and generate analyses and visualizations for peer-reviewed publication.
• Lead cross-team collaborations and manage project execution to meet milestones.
• Identify critical datasets and research questions to demonstrate model utility.
