HCA Healthcare is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join the CTI team to design, build, and deploy production-grade data science products in healthcare. You will drive feature engineering, model experimentation, and monitoring while collaborating with stakeholders across care delivery and IT.

The role requires deep SQL/Python expertise, experience with Spark and cloud deployments, and strong communication skills to translate data insights into action in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of overall experience in data science and ML (lead level).
• Expert experience in SQL and Python.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data (tabular, text, images).
• Experience with SQL relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with data processing and ETL tools (e.g. Apache Spark).
• Experience with data visualization and data monitoring tools.
• Experience with modern software engineering practices (e.g. automated testing, CI/CD).
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with cloud deployments in GCP or another cloud platform.
• Experience with Agile development methods and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps).
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Domain knowledge of healthcare data preferred (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
• Healthcare regulatory knowledge preferred.
• GCP platform experience preferred

Responsabilités

• DATA INJECTION: Design and implement incoming data for feature engineering and ML.
• FEATURE CREATION: Create features with predictive power from healthcare data and stats.
• FEATURE EXTRACTION: Use PCA, text analytics to identify useful info while preserving relations.
• EXPLORATORY DATA ANALYSIS: Explore data to identify patterns and relations.
• MODEL EXPERIMENTATION: Develop, tune, and optimize predictive models.
• DELIVERY: Deploy code using best practices.
• DOCUMENTATION: Document data science strategies and insights.
• MONITORING: Build and maintain pipelines to monitor production models.
• DATA AND OUTPUT QUALITY: Ensure high data quality and integrity.
• PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MINDSET: Collaborate with stakeholders to build data products.
