HCA Healthcare is seeking a Lead Data Scientist for the Care Transformation and Innovation (CTI) team. You will deliver production-grade data science products across the lifecycle, applying predictive analytics to healthcare data to support clinically led digital and AI integration.

The role focuses on designing data pipelines, feature engineering, model development, and deployment in a cloud-enabled environment, collaborating across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years in data science and ML for senior/lead roles.
• Expert in SQL and Python.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with ETL and data processing tools like Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud deployments (GCP/AWS) and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data workflows for feature engineering and ML.
• Create features with predictive power using healthcare data knowledge.
• Extract features using analytics methods to ensure performance and scalability.
• Conduct data exploration to identify patterns aligned with ML methodologies.
• Develop, tune, and optimize predictive models for use cases.
• Deploy code following best practices and monitor production systems.
• Document and present DS strategies and insights to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain pipelines to monitor enterprise DS products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, and product managers.
