Job summary

McGraw Hill Education is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to enhance our BI and data services, delivering timely insights to support financial, product, customer, user and partner data needs. You will perform hands-on data engineering using OCI/Exadata, IICS, Databricks and AWS, design scalable reporting and data models, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in data engineering, strong cloud experience (OCI/AWS), and expertise in

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in data engineering.
1+ years of Unix shell scripting.
5+ years of experience with OCI/AWS/Azure on data technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead data engineering efforts delivering data solutions with AWS and/or Oracle technologies.
Work with data from financial and operational systems and model architecture (SCD).
Run cloud platform with optimized architecture to meet runbook SLA.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
Design and build end-to-end ETL solutions for efficient processing.
Create data mappings and implement transformations (e.g., Joiner, Router, Lookup).
Develop shell scripts for Informatica workflow wrappers and housekeeping.
