Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Capacity Data Analytics team. You will design and deliver scalable data solutions transforming operational data into trusted insights, partnering with engineering, finance, product, and business teams.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, experience with data warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines, and a collaborative mindset to drive governance and self-service analytics across OCI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• Strong experience with complex SQL for large-scale analytics.
• Experience designing data warehouses, data models, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong data modeling, data quality, metadata, and data lineage knowledge.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data engineering solutions.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to explain concepts to tech and business audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, validate, document, and maintain scalable data engineering solutions.
• Build SQL-based data pipelines, curated datasets, and reusable data models for reporting.
• Develop and maintain canonical datasets as trusted sources for decisions.
• Partner with engineering, finance, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Own projects from requirements through production delivery, ensuring accuracy and maintainability.
• Communicate data lineage, assumptions, business rules, and transformation logic clearly.
• Continuously improve data quality, governance, documentation, and engineering practices.
• Support the development of self-service reporting capabilities across OCI.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on knowledge sharing and improvement.
