Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Lead Constellation Design & Simulation Engineer to own the orbital architecture, coverage modelling, and constellation performance analysis for a next‑gen satellite network. You will drive simulations, link budgets, and validation studies from a remote US base.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years in LEO/MEO, strong STK/GMAT/FreeFlyer skills, and deep experience with satellite communications and orbital mechanics.

Qualifications

  • Degree in aerospace engineering, physics, electrical engineering, or related discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience in LEO/MEO constellation design or mission analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with STK, GMAT, FreeFlyer, or equivalent simulation tools.
  • Experience with satellite communications systems and link-budget analysis.
  • Strong understanding of orbital mechanics and constellation optimisation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain coverage, latency, throughput, and capacity simulations.
  • Close link budgets for S-band NTN and Ka-band communications systems.
  • Conduct Doppler, propagation, and interference analysis activities.
  • Run EPFD simulations and support ITU coordination activities.
  • Produce coverage models and performance validation studies.
  • Support launch planning and constellation deployment modelling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and regulatory teams to define architecture requirements.
