Jobgether is seeking a Lead Concept Artist (Stylized Games | Art Direction) to shape visual identity and guide a team of artists. Remote in Germany with strong leadership and hands‑on creation, you will define cohesive styles and mentor others to deliver production‑ready concepts.

You will work with art directors and designers to balance artistic ambition with gameplay clarity, driving visual quality across characters, environments, and props.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of professional concept art experience in game development.
• Experience as Lead Concept Artist or Senior Concept Artist with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience contributing to commercially released game productions.
• An exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong artistic fundamentals, design thinking, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to transform abstract ideas and briefs into production‑ready designs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of concepts for characters, environments, props, and other game content.
• Define visual language and cohesive style across asset types.
• Produce key art explorations, sketches, paintovers, and production‑ready designs.
• Develop reference materials, art guidelines, and visual benchmarks for QA across teams.
• Mentor artists and provide constructive feedback to teams.
• Establish workflows and standards to improve production outcomes.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, Game Designers, and Technical Artists to align concepts with objectives.
• Ensure designs respect technical constraints and gameplay readability.
• Maintain visual consistency from concept through in‑game presentation.
• Provide creative problem‑solving to elevate art quality.
