Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to act as the senior client-facing technology leader for the Cloud Solutions team. You will partner with stakeholders to define strategy, identify opportunities, and develop measurable solutions across cloud, applications, and technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in solution architecture, consulting or customer-facing technology roles.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technology initiatives from discovery to implementation.
• Strong requirements gathering and translating objectives into practical designs.
• Advanced understanding of cloud services, security, and networking.
• Experience with Azure and AWS, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Ability to design scalable, enterprise-grade solutions and manage risks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical advisor to business stakeholders.
• Lead solution discovery, workshops, and business case development.
• Translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
• Guide solution lifecycle from concept to deployment and transition.
• Develop roadmaps and delivery plans for cloud, apps, and tech initiatives.
• Lead complex engagements from concept through operational transition.
• Collaborate with vendors, delivery teams, and CCoe to ensure standards.
• Provide technical guidance to architects and engineers.
• Evaluate options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies for successful outcomes.
• Drive adoption of architecture standards and delivery best practices.
