Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to partner with business stakeholders and drive cloud initiatives from discovery through deployment. You will guide solution design, engage clients, and deliver measurable business value across cloud, applications, and technology domains.

The role requires strong leadership, deep cloud expertise in Azure and AWS, and a track record of delivering complex engagements with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 8+ years of related experience in solutions architecture.
• Proven Azure and AWS expertise with cloud migration/modernization.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor and trusted partner for business stakeholders, helping identify opportunities to leverage technology to achieve business objectives.
• Lead client engagement activities, including solution discovery, requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, and business case development.
• Translate business needs into practical, scalable, and supportable technology solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Experience supporting the full solution lifecycle, including implementation, operational transition, upgrades, support planning, and lifecycle management.
• Develop solution strategies, roadmaps, and delivery plans for cloud, application, and technology initiatives.
• Lead complex solution engagements from concept through implementation and transition.
• Collaborate with leaders, project teams, vendors, and technical resources to ensure successful delivery of technology solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to Solution Architects, Engineers, and delivery teams throughout the lifecycle.
