Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to build and lead a remote cybersecurity division across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will design, implement, and manage security solutions, driving best practices for a decentralized organization.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in cybersecurity with 4+ years in cloud security, deep cloud-native security expertise, and a proven track record in secure cloud architecture and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity with 4+ years in cloud security engineering.
• Experience securing large-scale multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficient with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong network security knowledge, including firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless security.
• Excellent scripting (Python, Bash) and automation skills.
• Strong communication and remote collaboration abilities.
• Cloud security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies and standards.
• Lead secure cloud infrastructure design, including IAM and data protection.
• Conduct security assessments, pen tests, and vulnerability management.
• Develop incident response plans for cloud security events.
• Automate security deployments with IaC and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with engineering to embed security in SDLC.
• Monitor for threats and respond to incidents.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies.
