Job summary

Valtech is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer in the United States to design, deploy and scale secure Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The role emphasizes Terraform IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud networking across environments.

You will mentor engineers, ensure security best practices and optimize performance and costs. You will collaborate with application and security teams, apply AI-assisted tooling like Gemini and Claude to accelerate delivery, and support hybrid/remote work arrangements as

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cloud or infrastructure engineering with 3+ years on GCP.
• Expert-level GCP networking, VPCs, firewalls, DNS and VPN/Interconnect.
• Terraform IaC and experience with CI/CD for infra changes.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage secure GCP infrastructure with Terraform modules.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated validation and policy checks.
• Design cloud networking, VPCs, load balancing and DNS across projects.
• Set up hybrid connectivity with Cloud VPN/Interconnect and shared networking.
• Apply IAM least privilege and secrets management across orgs.
• Set up monitoring with Google Cloud Operations Suite, Prometheus or Grafana.
• Improve availability, performance and cost efficiency; support incident analysis.
• Automate recurring tasks with Python or Bash; review and mentor engineers.
