Job summary
Aypa Power, a Blackstone portfolio company, is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to maximize the value of a regional portfolio of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems and hybrid assets. This role blends operational oversight, commercial strategy, and financial value creation to meet investment theses and regulatory obligations.
The successful candidate will lead asset performance, work with O&M providers, and drive improvement initiatives across the portfolio, reporting to the VP of Asset
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in asset management for utility-scale renewable energy or energy storage projects.
- Experience with ISO/RTO market participation and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and quantitative analysis skills.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall financial performance (P&L) of BESS and Solar + BESS assets, including revenue optimization and expense management.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and 3–5 year forecasts for the portfolio.
- Monitor compliance with PPAs, credit agreements, leases, O&M agreements, and related contracts.
- Support cash management, forecasts, and liquidity planning with Portfolio Finance.
- Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement to maximize energy generation and revenue.
