Job summary

JeppesenForeFlight is seeking a Lead Product Manager for APIs & MCPs to set the vision and strategy for the Global Aviation Data platform. You will own the API portfolio end-to-end, drive the build of a new API platform, and decide what to build, buy, and expose for developers and AI systems.

You will collaborate with engineering to shape platform architecture, governance, and adoption across the organization, while mentoring other PMs and aligning stakeholders on a shared platform roadmap and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience with hands-on API ownership
• Experience building with AI and driving AI adoption in an organization
• Track record leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders
• Curiosity and customer-focused discovery with technical/developer audiences
• Ability to operate independently at a senior level in ambiguity and with minimal oversight
• Experience building or shipping MCP servers or similar context for AI systems
• Experience launching or scaling an API management platform (gateway, portal, analytics)
• Experience defining API monetization, packaging, or data-licensing models
• Background in aviation or regulated technical domains is a plus
• Pilot or aviation enthusiast

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-year strategy and roadmap for APIs and MCP servers
• Lead the launch of a new API platform, including build-vs-buy decisions
• Conduct customer and stakeholder discovery with internal and external users
• Define data packaging, access, and monetization via APIs and MCPs with partners
• Set standards for API design, versioning, docs, and developer experience
• Collaborate with engineering to scope and sequence technical delivery
• Align senior stakeholders around a shared platform vision and report progress
• Mentor other product managers on API and AI product practices
• Identify high-leverage problems and drive them to outcomes
• Learn new technical domains quickly to build prioritized roadmaps
