Job summary

Adjuvant Behavioral Health is recruiting empathetic mental health professionals for nationwide remote oncology-focused counseling. You will support cancer patients and families from home, delivering client-centered care with emphasis on compassionate communication.

This 1099 contractor role pays $66 per hour, with an option to transition to a W2 role after 90 days and approximately 25 hours per week. A Master's in social work and Virginia LCSW licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional level experience in a counselor setting.
• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in Virginia is required

We are looking for empathetic, experienced mental health professionals to come along side us in this endeavor!

This is a fully remote position.

Pay: $66/hr

This role begins as a 1099 contractor position. After 90 days and averaging 25 hours a week, you will have the option to transition into a W2 role.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Counsel clients or patients individually and/or within family sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
• Make internal referrals to IOP if little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks of OP therapy.
• Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge, establishing SMART goals with the patient. Treatment plans are to be developed 72 hours after intake and updated / modified every 4 weeks.
• Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including client diagnostic records and progress notes. Progress notes are to be developed 48 hours after every session.
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
• Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition, based on review of client information.
• Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care with the existing patient.
• Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
• Learn about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters Degree from an accredited college or university
• Two years of professional level experience in a counselor setting
• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in Virginia is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in healthcare with oncology
• 1 year experience in Telehealth Settings
