Job summary

AthenaPsych is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee therapists, support NY licensure processes, and help develop staff training. The role offers a remote-first setup with optional on-site options in NY offices and occasional in-person coordination with leadership.

Applicants should be licensed mental health professionals with leadership experience, comfortable with EMR systems, and able to navigate NY OMH rules and HIPAA requirements. Flexible hours and weekend coverage may apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed mental health provider with leadership experience in a clinic setting.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with NYS OMH outpatient regulations and HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly clinical supervision to therapists and document sessions.
• Complete NYS licensure paperwork for supervisees as applicable.
• Develop and facilitate clinical training with leadership.
• Cover administrative tasks with Clinical Director as needed.
• Review high-risk cases and provide clinical solutions.
• Engage in Utilization Review for assigned cases monthly.
• Respond to clinical crises and policy updates.
• Maintain reduced caseload and complete assessments and treatment plans promptly.
