Job summary

DeterTech is seeking an IoT and hardware integration specialist to join the ARC development team. You will bridge hardware and software, ingest device telemetry, and translate hardware capabilities into intuitive operator controls for 24/7 monitoring.

Working with embedded firmware engineers and product designers, you will evolve device features from basic toggles to telemetry-driven automations, build secure APIs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating software with IoT/hardware devices.
• Understanding alarm/ARC protocol standards (SIA, Contact ID, IP signalling).
• Strong Laravel/PHP skills for device integrations and monitoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot across hardware/software boundaries.

Responsibilities

• IoT & hardware integrations: build and maintain device interfaces with alarm equipment and gateways.
• Develop software and monitoring APIs using Laravel/PHP and MQTT for device connectivity.
• Create responsive operator interfaces and translate UI specs into functional components.
• Scale background processing for high-frequency device events with low latency.
• Ensure security and compliance across device communications and architectures.
