Job summary

Latitude Engaged Professionals seeks a California-licensed attorney to support labor and employment litigation on a remote basis. This engagement-based role can be part-time or full-time, with approximately 20–40 hours per week and no travel requirements.

Applicants must be in good standing with the California bar and able to work independently in a flexible setting. The ideal candidate will draft and review pleadings, discovery, motions and hearings; Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting and reviewing pleadings, written discovery, motions and hearings.
• Organized, responsive, and able to handle engagement-based work at flexible pace.
• Spanish fluency strongly preferred; labor & employment litigation experience preferred but not required.
• California bar admission in good standing; J.D. from accredited law school.
• Available approximately 20–40 hours per week; remote engagement with California-licensed attorney requirement.
• Outstanding references.

Job description

A law firm with offices in California is looking for a California licensed attorney to assist with labor & employment litigation matters on a part-time or full-time basis. This is a contract position. This opportunity is flexible without a specific hours requirement. The role is completely remote without any travel expectations. Actual experience working on labor & employment litigation matters is preferred but not required. This is a great opportunity for a California licensed litigation attorney who is looking for either part-time or full-time work on a completely remote basis.

Requirements/Preferences:

• Experience with drafting and reviewing pleadings, written discovery, motions and hearings
• Organized, responsive, and well-suited to the pace and flexibility of engagement-based work
• Experience working on labor & employment litigation matters is preferred but not required
• Being fluent in Spanish is strongly preferred
• Available approximately 20-40 hours per week depending on what works best for the candidate
• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Outstanding references

Compensation:

Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $175,000 - $210,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
