BairesDev is looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to the upstream Kubernetes codebase in a fully remote role. You will design and implement Kubernetes core components, collaborate with SIGs, and optimize CRI/CNI interfaces from a distributed-systems perspective.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of software engineering experience, strong Go skills, and a track record of open-source contributions, with fluent English for global collaboration.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on systems programming.
• Advanced proficiency in Go (Golang) and experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven track record of contributing to the Kubernetes codebase or other CNCF projects.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, including API server, scheduler, and controllers.
• Expertise in low-level container technologies such as CRI, CNI, and OCI runtimes.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop core Kubernetes components such as the API server, scheduler, and controller manager in Go.
• Contribute to Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to drive architectural improvements and feature development.
• Implement and optimize low-level interfaces including the Container Runtime Interface (CRI) and Container Network Interface (CNI).
• Review community pull requests and participate in upstream technical discussions and design proposals.
• Debug and resolve complex, distributed systems issues within the core Kubernetes orchestration layer.
• Ensure the stability and performance of the Kubernetes ecosystem through rigorous testing and community collaboration.
