Job summary

INFOZEN INC is seeking a skilled Kafka Administrator with hands-on Terraform and Confluent Kafka expertise to join our growing team. This role focuses on managing and optimizing enterprise-level streaming infrastructure in a distributed environment.

You will install, configure, monitor, and secure Kafka clusters, collaborate with DevOps, and handle upgrades and capacity planning. This remote position offers opportunities to work with modern tech and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must have proven Kafka administration experience with Confluent platform.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven design.
• Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and Kafka Streams.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
• Familiar with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Center).
• Experience with cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container environments (Kubernetes/Docker) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters.
• Monitor broker performance, consumer lag, and throughput.
• Manage topics, partitions, replication, and retention.
• Troubleshoot Kafka connectivity, data loss, and latency issues.
• Implement security configurations including SSL/TLS, SASL, RBAC.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support streaming apps.
• Perform capacity planning, upgrades, and patching of Kafka components.
