Job summary

BookNook is seeking independent contractor tutors to support K–8 students in math and reading across the United States. Sessions are online, from your own virtual classroom, with most sessions in the 5:00 PM–7:00 PM ET window on weekdays.

Pay is $20 per hour ($10 per 30‑minute session) with opportunities for incentives. All curricula, materials, and digital tools are provided, and sessions are 30 or 60 minutes long. Tutors work from home with flexible scheduling and a 80% attendance target.

Qualifications

• Experience in classroom teaching, tutoring, or online instruction.
• Ability to deliver pre-designed math lessons aligned to curriculum.
• Strong rapport with students and ability to create an encouraging learning environment.
• Requires computer, webcam, reliable internet (≥20 Mbps).
• Reside in one of the listed US states.
• Position is a 1099-independent contractor.
