Job summary

GOVX is seeking a Junior Software Engineer for a role that starts hybrid with remote options in the United States. You will work with senior engineers, product managers, and the technical lead to build, test, and maintain web applications using .NET Core, C#, and React.

The first focus will be QA, including test case creation and manual/automated testing, before transitioning to development tasks under mentorship.

Qualifications

• Understanding of .NET Core and C# development.
• Experience with SQL (T-SQL) and relational databases.
• Exposure to SPA architectures, especially React.
• Familiar with unit/integration testing and QA practices.
• Willingness to learn and grow under mentorship in a hybrid role.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish test plans and write test cases for features in-development.
• Monitor logs, identify errors, and raise support tickets.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of tickets.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests for existing code.
• Develop and maintain automated UI tests as needed.
• Collaborate with seniors to understand requirements and specs.
• Participate in sprint processes and contribute to planning and sizing.
• Contribute to secure, maintainable, and scalable software.
