Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies is seeking a Jr. Ruby on Rails Developer to build new apps, enhance existing systems, and interface with legacy ERP. You will collaborate with the Business Systems Manager, IS team, and IT Manager to boost productivity across the business.

Responsibilities include writing clean code, designing scalable features, integrating ERP functionality, and preparing Statements of Work. A BS in CS or equivalent and 2+ years Rails and Vue.js are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years of Ruby on Rails experience.
• 2+ years of Vue.js or similar front end framework.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
• Experience with test-driven development a plus.
• Knowledge of Linux and command line tools.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and other database programs.
• Knowledge of network concepts including operating systems and security.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Write, clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Design robust, scalable, and secure features.
• Analyze business application requirements and user specifications.
• Integrate ERP functionality with legacy ERP developers on the Ruby platform.
• Assist in writing Statements of Work for application programming.
• Ensure development aligns with SOW and minimize scope creep.
• Estimate timelines, identify complexity, and communicate progress.
• Revise and update applications and documentation as required.
• Document code and systems.
• Perform other tasks as requested by Manager.
