Job summary

SCALIS is hiring a remote full-time Junior QA Analyst Intern to help us deliver a reliable recruiting platform used for complex workflows such as job requisitions, candidate management, interviews, approvals, offers, and onboarding. This is a hands-on quality role focusing on manual and exploratory testing, with opportunities to identify automation candidates while not being a primary automation role.

Qualifications

• Experience in software quality assurance or product testing.
• Strong exploratory testing instincts.
• Clear written communication when reporting bugs.
• Ability to investigate unexpected behavior beyond the happy path.

Responsibilities

• Test new features and bug fixes before release.
• Perform exploratory testing across complete user workflows.
• Reproduce customer-reported issues and document clear, reliable steps.
• Build and maintain regression checklists for critical product areas.
• Verify resolved bugs and identify related edge cases.
• Review product requirements, designs, and acceptance criteria before implementation.
• Identify ambiguous or missing requirements early.
• Create high-quality bug reports with severity, expected behavior, actual behavior, evidence, and reproduction steps.
• Help assess customer impact and prioritize quality issues.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and Customer Success.
• Recommend which recurring checks should be automated.
• Track patterns in escaped defects and suggest improvements to our development process.
