Job summary

Ring & DuChateau Consulting Engineers seeks a Junior Graphic Designer on a full-time contract basis to support marketing, branding, and digital design initiatives. You will translate briefs into polished visuals under guidance, contributing to various projects across platforms.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio, foundational Adobe CC skills, and a desire to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are available to fit project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Graphic Design or related discipline preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in graphic design or related field.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and design fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Foundational understanding of typography, color theory, composition, spacing, visual hierarchy, branding, and layout principles.
• Familiarity with content for websites, social media, email marketing, presentations, and digital channels.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn and improve design skills.
• Ability to understand briefs, requirements, and stakeholder feedback in design.
• Good written, verbal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities; able to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Familiarity with Figma, Canva, After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
• Exposure to motion graphics, UX/UI, video, or interactive media is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of digital accessibility and best practices.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to develop professionally in a fast-paced design environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing creative visual concepts and original graphics for marketing and branding.
• Design and update brochures, flyers, presentations, ads, social graphics, newsletters, and collateral.
• Create visual assets for websites, emails, and digital marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, sales, and business teams to meet objectives.
• Translate briefs and concepts into effective visual solutions.
• Apply brand standards in typography, color, imagery, and layouts.
• Edit, crop, resize, and retouch photos and graphics for multiple formats.
• Develop templates and reusable assets for consistency and efficiency.
• Prepare production-ready files for digital publishing and print.
• Manage multiple design projects with quality and deadlines.
• Incorporate feedback from senior designers and stakeholders.
• Maintain organized source files, assets, and project docs.
• Research design trends, tools, and best practices.
