Job summary

Turing is seeking experienced software engineers at the tech lead level to analyze and triage GitHub issues for JavaScript projects. The role includes hands-on software engineering, environment automation, and evaluation of test coverage.

You will set up repositories, dockerize environments, test real-world projects locally, and collaborate with researchers to identify challenging issues for LLMs. This remote contractor position offers exposure to cutting-edge AI work and fast-paced project

Qualifications

2+ years of overall experience required.
Strong experience with JavaScript.
Proficiency with Git, Docker, and basic software pipeline setup.
Ability to understand and navigate complex codebases.
Comfortable running, modifying, and testing real-world projects locally.
Experience contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries.
Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup.
Evaluate unit test coverage and quality.
Modify and run codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios.
Collaborate with researchers to identify repositories and issues challenging for LLMs.
