Turing is seeking experienced software engineers at a tech-lead level to contribute to LLM evaluation projects. You will triage issues from public repositories, set up environments, and evaluate test coverage while influencing how AI systems interact with real code.

The role combines hands-on software engineering with AI research, offering remote work, collaboration with researchers, and leadership opportunities for junior engineers on cutting-edge tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and setting up pipelines.
• Able to run and modify real-world projects locally.
• Experience with open-source contributions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries.
• Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup.
• Evaluate unit test coverage and quality.
• Modify and run codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios.
• Collaborate with researchers to design and identify repositories and issues that are challenging for LLMs.
• Opportunities to lead a team of junior engineers to collaborate on projects.
