Job summary

Intone Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Java Technical Lead for a 6-month contract to drive backend engineering, API design, and automation initiatives for scalable microservices in airline operations.

You will lead technical design and implementation, mentor teams, and ensure quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability on AWS. Remote work flexibility is available.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed enterprise systems.
• Postman/Newman usage for API definitions, data injection, and validations.
• Automated testing with JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, and Gradle.
• AWS cloud services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch).
• CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI; Linux/Shell scripting; Git; OAuth.
• Experience with log analysis, tracing, and diagnostics across cloud/on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Architect and maintain event-driven, cloud-native workflows on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch).
• Develop reusable Java-based test utilities and automation frameworks to improve API test efficiency.
• Create API test suites using Postman, Newman, JavaScript, REST, JSON, and OAuth.
• Establish automated test pipelines with JUnit/TestNG, Gradle, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce OO design, robust error handling, and secure coding practices.
