Job summary

Prolific is seeking fluent Japanese speakers to train AI models through real conversations. You’ll join live video calls with other Japanese-speaking participants and discuss everyday topics in a natural, unscripted way.

This task-based role lets you choose your own schedule with no minimum hours. After joining the talent pool, you’ll complete a short language skills assessment; passing opens opportunities for paid projects, with researchers often paying up to $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Fluent Japanese speaker with clear pronunciation.
• Good written and spoken English for instructions.
• Comfortable conversing naturally on video calls.
• Quiet environment with a headset and reliable mic.

Responsibilities

• Have live, natural conversations in Japanese with participants over video call.
• Discuss everyday topics and let the conversation flow without scripts.
• Contribute data (dialogues) to help AI learn natural speech patterns.
