Job summary

ABS Kids is seeking an IT Security Analyst for a brand new remote role focused on protecting and improving security across Microsoft 365, cloud, identity, endpoint and collaboration environments.

You will monitor alerts, investigate incidents, maintain security controls, support compliance efforts, and promote security awareness throughout the organization. The role requires hands-on Defender, Intune, Entra ID, and Purview experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of information security, cloud security, security operations, or systems administration with security responsibilities
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Microsoft Sentinel
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or Microsoft Graph API for security automation or reporting
• Experience supporting HIPAA security controls, compliance audits or healthcare IT environments

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts across Microsoft Defender XDR and related tools
• Respond to phishing, account compromise, malware, and endpoint threats; coordinate containment and remediation
• Coordinate with SOC provider for alert triage, escalation, and incident response; maintain incident playbooks
• Administer MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management within Entra ID
• Develop Intune compliance policies and device protection controls across multiple OS
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediate findings; support threat hunting and monitoring improvements
• Assist with HIPAA security controls, compliance audits, risk assessments, and data governance
• Develop security awareness communications and phishing simulations; communicate findings to stakeholders
