Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking an IT Security Administrator for a remote role nationwide. This position partners with IT and security teams to support audits, collect and validate technical evidence, and ensure compliance across HIPAA, SOC, NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and related frameworks.

You will manage audit documentation, maintain system and network knowledge, and develop reports on compliance status and remediation efforts. Strong collaboration and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology fields.
• 3+ years in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Operations, or Security Operations.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, AD, M365, Azure, virtualization, endpoint management, and enterprise networking.
• Experience supporting technical audits, compliance assessments, or regulatory reviews.
• Understanding of IAM concepts and privileged account management.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management processes and control validation.
• Experience gathering and organizing evidence for audits/assessments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and network architecture.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for internal and external audits and customer security reviews.
• Coordinate collection, validation, and organization of technical audit evidence.
• Maintain knowledge of system architecture, network topology, security controls, cloud environments, and endpoint management.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to obtain audit documentation and supporting evidence.
• Document technical control implementations and operational procedures for compliance initiatives.
• Track audit requests and ensure timely delivery of evidence and remediation docs.
• Review system configurations for compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support HIPAA, SOC, NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and similar frameworks.
• Assist with vulnerability management by gathering remediation evidence and validating actions.
• Maintain inventory documentation for systems, apps, endpoints, and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and technical docs.
• Support security incident investigations by collecting logs and technical evidence.
• Develop reports and dashboards on compliance status, findings, and remediation.
• Participate in risk assessments and security control reviews.
• Coordinate remediation tracking and closure verification for findings.
