Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking an experienced Staff Business Financial Analyst for IT Infrastructure. The role combines finance and technical infrastructure planning in a highly regulated setting, focusing on budgets, forecasts, ROI analyses, and cost optimization across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, information security, and leadership to align financial strategy with infrastructure roadmaps and lifecycle needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 8–12 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 5–7 years, or a PhD with 2–4 years.
• Experience building cost models, budgets, forecasts, ROI analyses, and evaluating vendor quotes.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for infrastructure investments.
• Link infrastructure strategy to financial outcomes across multi-region budgets and risk management.
• Evaluate vendors, quotes, contracts, and SLAs to support cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate and maintain infrastructure roadmaps across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and storage.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure planning with business priorities and lifecycle needs.
• Support capacity planning by identifying constraints, bottlenecks, and scalability opportunities.
• Facilitate planning sessions and risk/decision discussions.
• Identify and mitigate IT risks related to cybersecurity, data integrity, downtime, and compliance.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and infrastructure upgrade plans.
