Job summary

NV5, Inc. in the United States seeks an IT/ICT/Building Security Systems Designer to deliver design and consulting services for IT and building security on new or renovated facilities.

This is a Work From Home role with flexibility to serve major markets beyond listed locations. You will craft IT infrastructure designs, including structured cabling, data center tech, access control, CCTV, and CPTED guidance, coordinating with MEP and architectural teams and directing CAD staff in Revit and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of consulting design experience for IT/telecom and security systems in new buildings or major renovations.
• Knowledge of IT spaces, cabling, and building security infrastructure.
• Strong communication and detail orientation; CPTED experience preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; BlueBeam for markups.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project design teams with forward-thinking IT and security solutions.
• Design IT infrastructure including Entrance Facilities, telecom rooms, cabling pathways.
• Design building security solutions: video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection.
• Advise on CPTED and support business development as requested.
• Produce construction drawings and specs using AutoCAD, Revit, and BlueBeam; coordinate with CAD staff.
