Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an Intermediate Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support a federal government customer. The role focuses on remediation, stability, and enterprise-wide security control management, with automation initiatives to follow. Remote work is available; the team emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with system owners and cybersecurity teams.

Requirements include U.S. citizenship, eligibility for a Secret clearance, and 7+ years in information security or ISSO

Qualifications

• US citizenship required for DoD clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years in Information Security or ISSO for federal systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute RMF activities to support ATO decisions.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and Contingency Plans.
• Conduct security control assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Support continuous monitoring and POA&Ms remediation.
• Implement controls to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability.
