Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an IoT Edge Software Engineer to design and maintain edge modules for Linux-based gateways, enabling secure dosimeter data flow to the cloud. You will implement AWS Greengrass, BLE communications, and secure updates, ensuring real-time and offline operation.

The role requires embedded Linux, AWS IoT Core, MQTT, and a DoD/RMF-compliant mindset, with opportunities to collaborate across security, DevSecOps, and backend teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, IT).
• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience.
• 1 year experience with backend services/APIs for cloud-based or regulated systems.
• Familiarity with agile/DevOps/DevSecOps methods.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain edge software for IoT gateways with BLE dosimeter communication.
• Implement AWS Greengrass components on Linux-based gateway hardware.
• Develop secure device authentication, encryption, and remote firmware updates.
• Integrate edge with AWS IoT Core, MQTT, and cloud services.
• Support real-time and batch data ingestion, including disconnected operations.
• Collaborate with security and DevSecOps to meet DoD IL4/FedRAMP/RMF.
