Next Step Systems is seeking an iOS Software Engineer to build and evolve mobile apps powering insurance and financial products. This fully remote role involves contributing to AI-assisted features to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

You will join a global engineering team across multiple countries and work on reliable, scalable mobile systems. The position requires 3+ years of iOS development with SwiftUI and AI experience, plus strong UI/UX and REST API integration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of iOS development experience with SwiftUI.
• AI experience is required.
• Strong iOS fundamentals and production-ship experience.
• Proficiency in SwiftUI, UIKit, async/await and iOS architecture patterns.
• Strong mobile UX sense and edge-case handling.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
• Portfolio including app links or shipped work is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship iOS features using Swift.
• Create clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and financial services.
• Collaborate with product and design to simplify complex user journeys.
• Integrate backend APIs and ensure mobile flows are stable and reliable.
• Improve performance, crash rate, loading states, responsiveness, memory usage and battery efficiency.
• Use analytics and production issues to improve the product.
• Develop AI-assisted mobile experiences only when they genuinely improve the user journey.
