Job summary

Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine in Willoughby, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Master’s Level PHP or IOP Counselor to join the multidisciplinary treatment team.

You will provide clinical services in IOP and PHP, conduct psychosocial and substance use assessments, develop treatment plans, lead groups, deliver individual and family therapy, coordinate across providers, and support discharge planning with rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: MSW or Master’s degree in Counseling from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Licenses: Must possess LSW, LISW, LPC or LPCC in Ohio.
• Experience: Two years in mental health or substance abuse with group therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial, mental health, and substance use assessments and determine level of care.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and revise individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate psychoeducational, process, and skills-based group therapy sessions.
• Provide individual, family, and supportive counseling.
• Conduct crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessments as needed.
• Coordinate care with physicians, referral sources, insurers, community resources, and family members.
• Develop discharge plans and ensure continuity of care through referrals and communication.
• Complete clinical documentation and utilization reviews in a compliant manner.

Job Summary

As a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, the Therapist provides clinical services within Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) settings utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions within a biopsychosocial framework. Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial and substance use assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducational groups, providing individual and family therapy, conducting crisis intervention, coordinating care with internal and external providers, and leading discharge planning activities. The therapist maintains accurate clinical documentation, collaborates with multidisciplinary treatment teams, and supports positive patient outcomes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Hybrid remote work may be available based on departmental needs and performance expectations.

Education: MSW or Master's degree in Counseling from an accredited college or university

Experience: Two years previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility with direct experience with group therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning required.
