Job summary

Pairs is a global network of family offices, institutional investors, VCs and angels. This Investment Banking Associate role sits on the investor side, running the outreach process for opportunities that pass diligence.

You will cultivate and own investor relationships, bringing in new connections monthly, including family offices, high-net-worth individuals, angels and funds. The role emphasizes introductions and relationship management over deal execution, with a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Experience in live capital raises or M&A outreach, not just deck-building.
• Proven ability to maintain and explain investor relationships.
• Understanding what investors need to see before meetings and how to prompt responses.
• Commitment to discretion and avoiding investor name disclosure in applications.
• Comfort using AI tools with good judgment about when they help or harm.

Responsibilities

• Manage investor processes for each opportunity: identify, contact in the right order, and follow up until a decision is reached.
• Build and maintain investor relationships, keeping contacts current and qualified.
• Assess investor preferences to ensure opportunities are relevant and well-matched.
• Maintain ongoing engagement with investors between opportunities to stay valuable.
