Qualifications

• Experience conducting fact and mitigation investigations in capital cases.
• Ability to develop comprehensive social histories and locate/ interview witnesses.
• Familiarity with ABA Guidelines for Death Penalty defense and related mitigation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead fact and mitigation investigations under supervision of counsel.
• Interview clients, families, and lay witnesses; collect records from institutions.
• Prepare clear oral and written reports; assist in pretrial and penalty phase preparation.
• Testify in court when required and support trial team with mitigation evidence.
