Job summary

Intuitive Machines LLC seeks a skilled Trajectory and Maneuver Design Engineer to join the Flight Dynamics Interplanetary team. This role is remote or onsite at Littleton, CO, collaborating across spacecraft teams to analyze and optimize interplanetary trajectories and maneuvers for NASA missions and commercial programs.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Physics or related field.
• Master's degree with 0–2 years of experience or a Bachelor's with 2–5 years of experience.
• Expertise in interplanetary trajectory design or navigation (astrodynamics, trajectory optimization, orbit determination, flight path control, or low thrust mission design).

Responsibilities

• Support high-profile interplanetary missions (OSIRIS-APEX, Lucy, DAVINCI) and commercial programs.
• Perform trajectory analysis for development and operations, including high/low thrust optimization and trade studies.
• Conduct Monte Carlo analysis for mission robustness.
• Plan, design, and verify operational maneuvers with ground navigation teams.
• Develop ground navigation tools and software for trajectory design, visualization, and analysis.
• Produce technical reports and present results to stakeholders.
• Coordinate analyses with partners and work with subsystems engineers and scientists.
