Job summary

Westinghouse Electric is hiring an Interconnection Engineer for a 1-year contract assignment, focusing on managing interconnection related engineering items. The role requires coordination with corporate office, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams regarding Purchase Power Agreements and Interconnection Agreements.

Key responsibilities include assessing project design impacts, interfacing with Transmission Owners, and monitoring interconnection processes. The ideal candidate should have an Electrical Engineering background with knowledge of ISO contracts.

The position offers comprehensive health benefits and a competitive salary of approximately $40 to $45 per hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO tariffs and pro forma and non pro forma contracts.
• Familiarity with NERC and FERC technical standards.
• Desired: Electrical Engineering preferred with an emphasis in Power Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Review all draft Purchase Power Agreement and Interconnect Agreements for their assigned region.
• Assess the impact of requirements on project design and schedule.
• Interface with Transmission Owners and Operators to align all deliverables.

Skills

Knowledge of ISO tariffs and pro forma and non pro forma contracts

Familiarity with NERC and FERC technical standards

Experience with technical review of contracts related to electric power grid industry

Contract interpretation and management of deliverables

Familiarity with tariff and interconnection processes in CAISO and ERCOT
