Job summary

Graham Healthcare Group seeks an Insurance Verification & Authorization Coordinator for remote nationwide work in the USA. Hours are typically 40 weekly, with an 8:30 AM–5:00 PM ET schedule and every other Saturday.

Compensation ranges $18–$22 hourly, with benefits including health/vision/dental, a 401(k) plan, and PTO. Role focuses on obtaining benefit data, securing authorizations, and ensuring accurate funding sources before care starts across multiple service lines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or combination of experience and business courses preferred.
• Minimum of one year in insurance verification, authorization, or medical billing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payer portals.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance rules.
• Knowledge of HomeCare Homebase preferred.
• Conscientious with attention to detail and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Obtain benefit information from payer portals, phone, or fax.
• Validate patient data and document payor information in the EMR.
• Minimize write-offs by documenting deductibles and co-pays.
• Monitor authorization workflows across Medicare and other payers.
• Review entitlement and funding source changes daily.
• Reverify Medicaid HMOs and patient insurances monthly.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to resolve funding issues.
• Assist scheduling with funding source problems.
