Compensation is $16–$19 per hour with quarterly bonus eligibility. Responsibilities include coordinating with insurance companies, providers, and internal teams to ensure timely processing while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• The Insurance Follow-Up Specialist verifies patient insurance coverage prior to service and tracks outstanding claims.
• Responsible for resolving denials and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance carriers.
• Collaborates with insurance companies, providers, patients, and internal teams on eligibility verification and AR follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Follow-up with insurance companies on billed claims and resolve payments promptly.
• Verify eligibility and benefits prior to scheduled services.
• Confirm active coverage, copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and patient responsibility estimates.
• Identify prior authorization requirements and escalate as needed.
• Track outstanding insurance claims (AR) and contact payers via phone, portal, or email.
• Investigate denials and resubmit corrected claims when necessary.
• Document all account activity in the billing system accurately.
