Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an Insurance Denials Specialist II to join our team. You will research denied claims, determine reasons for denial, and take steps to expedite the billing and collections across the accounts receivable.

This is a 100% remote full-time position with 40 hours per week during corporate hours. You will communicate with patients, insurance carriers, centers, markets, referral sources and attorneys in a timely manner, document all interactions in the billing system, and

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a medical billing department, prior authorization, or payer claim processing, or 9+ months in the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Proficient with using computer systems and typing.

Responsibilities

• Research and follow up on denied claims to determine the reason for denial.
• Review and submit documentation for resubmission per guidelines.
• Communicate with patients, carriers, centers, markets and attorneys to expedite billing and collections.
• Document all communications in the billing system.
• Contribute to reducing days sales outstanding (DSO) and increasing collections.
• Prioritize workload to improve key metrics and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the team and report workflow trends.
• Meet or exceed RCM QA standards and complete daily tasks timely.
• As backup for customer service, respond to inquiries as needed.
