Job summary

Meduit is hiring a Senior Insurance Specialist for a remote role in the United States. The candidate will resolve insurance processing errors, denials, and ensure timely payments by leveraging Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.

Responsibilities include communicating with patients and insurers, verifying eligibility, and providing accurate financial information while maintaining high service levels. Monday–Friday schedule; base pay $22–$26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in medical billing/follow-up.
• 2+ years with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payors.
• 2+ years with Benchmark and/or Star McKesson.
• California payer experience preferred.
• 2+ years hospital billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Reduce outstanding accounts receivable by managing claims inventory.
• Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding balances.
• Gather information from patients, providers, and agencies to determine eligibility and benefits.
• Update patient demographics and payer information as needed.
• Provide timely service and answer questions about benefits and billing.
