Qualifications

• Active California Bar in good standing required.
• 7–12 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Experience managing all phases of complex litigation.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage 10–20 insurance defense matters.
• Conduct claim investigations and develop case strategies.
• Draft, respond to, and manage written discovery.
• Review, analyze and prepare documents for production.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses.
• Take and defend depositions of experts and fact witnesses.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other filings.
• Attend hearings, argue motions and advocate for clients.
• Prepare pre-trial filings and trial materials.
• Handle mediations and settlement conferences; assist trial prep.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients and carriers.
• Supervise and mentor associates and paralegals.
